ABOUT SIDNEY KRUM
The Sidney Krum Young Artist Concert Series and the Sidney Krum Jewish Music and Yiddish Theatre Memorial Collections are made possible by a generous gift from the Estate of Sidney Krum. Mr. Krum emigrated from the Polish town of Anatolia to the United States as a child and learned Yiddish folk songs from his mother. Both an attorney and an educator, Mr. Krum spent much of his career in the New York City public schools. Throughout his life, he was dedicated to his Jewish heritage, particularly its music, and to the education of the young people of New York.
