King Django, internationally known as one of America’s premier reggae and ska artists, now introduces his most unique and vivid assemblage yet. Travelling the halls of both his beloved Jamaican vibration and Jewish heritage, King Django’s Roots & Culture Band pairs musical and blood families in a titillating twist of traditional Hebrew folk, klezmer, reggae and ska with a Brooklyn bend.

Looking to reconcile your love of power pop and hard rock with your love of Yiddish music? Your search is over. Behold, Yiddish Princess: a double guitar onslaught, with drums beating you into submission. Analog synths beckoning and a voice that can shatter ice and coo you into mellifluous bliss. Alts oyf Yiddish!

Schmekel is Queer Jewcore from Brooklyn — 100% Transgender, 100% Jewish! Their music offers a Bar-Mitzvah buffet of punk, klezmer, jazz, rock, and polka influences, while their lyrics combine bawdy humor and critical awareness, encouraging audiences to laugh at butt jokes while deconstructing systems of oppression. “Schmekel” is Yiddish for “little penis.”
