Jewish Girl Suspended from School for Singing

In the realm of “hasn’t this gone more than far enough?”, a Jewish girl was suspended from her Orthodox school for singing on a popular Israeli TV show. The Jewish Music WebCenter supports singing as a basic human right for men and women, boys and girls. Orthodox communities may need to reexamine the issue in light of the Jewish sacred texts which describe Jewish women singing and leading the people in song and dance.
