Brooklyn poet and multi-instrumentalist Alicia Jo Rabins’ “hauntingly lovely melodies” explore dark stories of biblical women and the hidden places where their complicated lives overlap with her own. In this one-time-only event, the JCC curates live performance of real bat mitzvah speeches, performed in musical conversation with Girls in Trouble’s songs. Hosted by stand-up comic JUDY GOLD With: New York Times best-selling author of Unorthodox, DEBORAH FELDMAN Glittery downtown performance artist GLENN MARLA 16-year-old actress SAM MOZES This performance event is presented in conjunction with The Laurie M. Tisch Gallery exhibit, Bat Mitzvah Comes of Age, and will be followed by a gallery wine reception.
