identical concerts celebrating the 60th birthdays of Leonard Lehrman and Cantor Charles Osborne, featuring music by both.

Admission is free.
Premiering Osborne and Lehrman’s settings of a text by William Austin, “Words and Music,”
along with Leonard Lehrman’s duet setting of Mascha Kal=Eko’s “Liebeslied.”
The Metropolitan Philharmonic Chorus will sing two choral pieces of Lehrman
and one of Osborne’s at the Roslyn concert.
Both concerts will open with a “The Ballad of Adam and Eve” by Elie Siegmeister
and Langston Hughes, premiered 30 years ago at
Siegmeister’s 70th birthday concert at Carnegie Recital Hall.
